Banned?

I have recently been banned from #Cybersex, without any reason. I tried to reconnect several times, but am unable to. I have lodged a complaint against the op and asked for the ban to be lifted through emailing abuse@.. How long does a ban usually last and can I expect feedback on this matter?

A channel op does not need a reason to ban someone from their channel. All you can really do is wait until the ban expires, which could be indefinite. It's possible someone else was banned with too wide a mask that caught you as well. You could try messaging other ops in the channel and plead your case.

abuse@undernet.org will not do anything for you.

That's the problem, I think I was "G-Lined" as I cannot get onto any of the other rooms on the server. Any idea how long such a ban could mostly last or is it determined by the op? Thank you for your support!

If you're getting onto Undernet, then you are not G-Lined. A G-Line will block you from getting on the server.

If you're banned from many channels, either you, or someone from your ISP or country was creating a lot of havoc. Just to be safe, you might want to scan your computer for Trojans. Maybe one of the "pics" you downloaded infected your computer and you may now have a bot running without your knowledge that is the reason for you being banned.
