EMECH BOTS
EMECH BOTS
Whats to do about those guys that load hundreeds of emech bots ? Does undernet have a sollution for this or is it ignoring the "hackers" that use to load so many bots on undernet servers?
tell me a network where there isn't any problems at all.. the best solution is to report those emechs/bots/floodbots coming from an unregistered channel at #report-abuse and they'll take in consideration your reportment regarding that, im positive.

On your way to #report-abuse, stop by our website so you can be prepared to give a proper report : http://www.report-abuse.net/rules.php

There are networks where the network team works togehter and they implement different solutions.
Here most try to get some personal benefit from good positions when underet has been one of biggest active networks. What you see now is a passive state.

reporting them to #report-abuse is a time consuming process but it works.
however, since we are dealing with hundreds of new proxies everyday, it seems like all we can do is play catch up as we report each and every ip address of the bots, and all the while, our x banlist is getting full.
since these bots set themselves to deaf mode (+d) so that they won't flood themselves out every time they flood, i would suggest a channel mode that will prevent nicks who are in deaf mode from entering the channel.
my suggestion can be found here:

let us unite to prevent these flooders from ruining our chat experience.

The unfortunate part about reporting flooding is that it feels so much like work. But think about it like this, what are the things you are willing to work for. For me, I'm willing to work to protect my privacy, my family, my income, my country, and my servers. Sometimes we need to combine advances in security technologies with our own self determination. I am so tired of losing my information because other people have nothing better to do with their time. What is a good way to recover files, especially .dll's associated with video and DVD burning software?
