it does make sense to me since you can always find new ideas on how to improve undernet and this is a good place to post them  .

Stefano as i said.. why we must have 2 places where to post comments, ideas, etc.... about undernet?
Do you think the comments, ideas, suggestions will be readed faster if they are posted here and not in the other forum: "Undernet feedback"?
Or... the posts in there will be readed faster if they are posted here?
I see one of the forums useless.

In my opinion both forums are good even if they are similar...as all of you can see most topics found in this 2 forums are a bit different... :)

Let me rephrase, we are just a bunch of users, in the past years I've been on undernet there where hardly any idea's from users, no matter how good there where being accepted.
Undernet is afraid of changing.

Look at the ircu code for example. Nothing against the coders, honestly.. but ircu is like the only ircd code remaining that doesn't support ipv6 while all other mayor ircd's do. Undernet is afraid of seeing the massive amounts of /64's or /48's heading towards there networks

Then let's look at Channel Services. They have something against other bots, they fight botlenders, suspend there userid's deny users to give there bots a userid, but they DO use one or two bots themself, equip it with a userid and see the need to do so. They force others to stick to the rules they break on there own.

I agree, if Undernet will change i think it will be a miracole...not to mention CService...they are "classy" :-?

IMHO,

Cservice need to make it easier for people to register channels.

Its very hard for some people to find 10 people with usernames and then wait the long period of time for the chan to be regged.

If it was easier to reg chans , then people wouldnt need to resort to eggdrops bots , channels wouldnt get taken over as often, IRCops would have an easier life, and we all live happy ever after.

Yeah. The question is: does CService want IRCops to have an easier life? ;)

Eggdrops will always be usefull, but they wouldn't be needed as channelkeepers, they would be usable against floods. Always remember, X is deaf in channels, thus ppl will always resort to eggies to coup with the sideeffects of a deaf service.

However, making it easier to register also brings some other backdraws along, X consumes resources, way more then the average clientserver. It has to keep an eye on all channels. Monitor joins/parts/modes in all channels etc.

In the topic i have created with subject: Undernet Services , when i said that CService should make it easier the chan. registration, most of users replied were negative to that.

Yes Stafano, I believe 100% that this Forum topic is very good, cause our loving network Undernet needs something like that, even critics and sugesstions, cause "if there are no critics, the whole World will be a simple emptyness" and I also pressume that out there are a lot of users willing to improve Undernet somehow even if it`s just a word, the "The Earth was made after words of God" so that means word = action if the words are good said...
