this morning in a channel i was in i did a whois on a guy that came in, he was in a channel called "childsexslave". I'll all for the freedom of speech but i'll all for limits, and i think there needs to be some when it comes to the type of channels that are allowed to exsist. I like to think that i'm very open minded but that channel totally offends me and i'm sure would offend a lot of other people. i can't believe that undernet would allow this sort of channel to exsist.

Since the channel isn't registered, its up to the ircops not cservice to shut down the channels in question.
I agree that there should be network rules against these channels from being used even if no X is present and also suspending all user accounts of those in the channel as fraud or illegal even if the channel isn't registered.

In the last couple of years I saw plenty channels like that, there is nothing we can do, as long the #CService admin(s) accepts this, anyway I believe those channels should be removed and also a rule of what kind of channel are NOT allowed on Undernet, it seems a bit comunist, but I had enough of those channels and also of the users attitude... Someone should do anything about it, a lot of registered channels are forbidden or the name of it sounds very offensive, racist, pervert and deals with fobidden things... any... Enjoy Undernet ! It is easy to get some attention here with breaking a taboo by using a "offensive" channelname.
If you start to make a "rule" fot "forbidden channels" you end in an electronic nirvana. Let's try to find a rule.

So what's about encest incest inzest channels? what's about the different languages?
And - if you start with an electronic rulemaking you never know where it will end.
If undernet starts to "censor" channelnames .. well .. what's aboug *sex* and *nazi* channels? If we start about a 'bad channel name components list' don't forget to put *call* *escort* and *prostit* in.
And if we have started to censor *nazi* we do the same with *fascist* *musolini* *hitler*.
Oh and the bad guys always find a way to work around. Let's ban *adolf* and *reich*.
Some new channel owner will complain that he doesn't get #wilhelm_reich registered, but we tell him. that we can't take care in any single case ....
The anti-fascist league complaints that their channel was purged.
The "parents for a save planet" association now asks if #undernet can't be purged cause itis a way for criminals to make appointments for crimes.
One day in the near future a admin will purge #paedophilia, #philatelia and #philosophie.
Fight censorship. It is the begining of all endings.
