I would also like to suggest some sort of a 'VERBOSE' type feature. Other networks such as DALnet has it in their services package, and basically, it could work with X. So, when set to 'ON' users who add usernames to X would get a notice in the channel via 'OPNOTICE' letting users know a user in the channel is modified via X. This would than give the administrators of the channel a chance to see who is adding/removing/suspending/banning who in the channel with X at any given time. Sometimes you can't tell when one of your administrators added somene, until its too late. I personally have suffered many mass kick/bans via X in my channel, and others have had it happen in their channels. VERBOSE gives a sense of security in your channel, whether you want it ON or OFF.
Very good advice, indeed.Mitko wrote:I think this was discussed before, search the forums. The final solution was: add trusted ops only.
Never op anyone you do not know and trust.
P.S. Would you leave your home in the possession of someone you do not know and trust? Same point.
