Manager1K.sh problem..

Post by CrayonMan »

Running FreeBSD 6.1 (Release)

Encountering a problem running Manager1K.sh

<-- Database host/IP ? [127.0.0.1]
--> Using default: 127.0.0.1
<-- Database name ? [cservice]
--> Using default: cservice
<-- (M)odify existing user or (C)reate new user ? [M] m
[: m: unexpected operator

--> Job finished !
--> NOTICE: Remember your CService bot updates his cache on a regular basis
--> NOTICE: depending on your cservice.conf file this can take a few minutes for the changes/addition to be available on IRC.
--> Stopping...
--> exit(0)

Any ideas? I've tried capital and small letters, for both C and M and it generates the same set of errors.

Thanks

hmmm this is actually quite detailed, you might find a better place to ask or get information on it at http://sourceforge.net/projects/gnuworld

It doen't matter if you use capital or lower case letter. Anyway, this sounds like some bash issue with '=' and '==' operators. Try executing the script like this: "bash Manager1K.sh" and tell me if it worked or not. If it doesn't work I will modify Manager1K.sh to work properly on your machine and paste the link of it here.

Thanks Mitko, tried as you suggested and had another problem:

<-- Database host/IP ? [127.0.0.1]
--> Using default: 127.0.0.1
<-- Database name ? [cservice]
--> Using default: cservice
<-- (M)odify existing user or (C)reate new user ? [M] m
Manager1K.sh: line 124: [: :=: binary operator expected
--> Job finished !
--> NOTICE: Remember your CService bot updates his cache on a regular basis
--> NOTICE: depending on your cservice.conf file this can take a few minutes for the changes/addition to be available on IRC.
--> Stopping...
--> exit(0)

Thanks

CrayonMan :)

I just modified it, so anyone who has this issue should use this one: http://surferz.info/Manager1K-m-v1.sh

NOTE: don't forget to do "chmod +x Manager1K-m-v1.sh" in order to be able to execute it.
