i have a slackware 10 and a FC3 server , pretty hard to say wich 1 is the best tho

I had a slackware Vector Linux. Now I will try another distribution, I think next will xandros 3

A magazine, with it sells a free CD with a distribution, and XandroS 3 is this month

Install a distribution and there is a help file (mine have)

If you wish to start using Linux, I suggest you to first start with Fedora Core 3 , very friendly installation guide. Also this site might help you a bit [url]http://www.LinuxQuestions.Org[/url]

i think fc3/4 is actually, user friendly.
i use slackware at work and gentoo for the router at home...
i still didn't managed to get my ati all in wonder radeon 7500 to work under slackware (the tv tuner thingy), but i'm on it

linux rulz if you need stability/security... for a desktop pc... you need some experience and dayd to configure it well... but it worths it.
