My provider, Verizon, was completely banned from at least two channels, #bucuresti and #cluj. There are millions of Verizon acoounts in the US. Is there anything i can do?
Channels can ban whomever they wish for any or no reason. There is nothing you can do about that, but change providers (rather drastic, IMO) or ask the ops to lift that ban and make it more specific to keep whomever they want to keep out.Ghion wrote:My provider, Verizon, was completely banned from at least two channels, #bucuresti and #cluj. Best option, is accept it and go to channels where you are welcome.
I remember when AOL was banned in many channels. Probably deservedly so. LOL

That was a backlash against AOL for flooding the IRC servers with users but not providing any IRC servers (or resources of any kind), is that correct?
I seem to recall that they eventually did open their wallets a bit and provide a few (Washington strikes a bell for some reason.)
That's what I was always led to believe...
