Something useful would be, an RSS feed.
Its a simple mod and it takes ~1min to install and setup.
There is an official MOD for phpbb3 [url=http://www.phpbb.com/mods/db/index.php?i=misc&mode=display&contrib_id=5585]HERE[/url]
And you can specific for what forums to use them, so if there is some administrative forums, they will NOT be published if you don't want to.
