thanks for the info See, i'll grab some logs and mail them :)

Edit:
I have sent the mail to that address you gave me See, including a chunk of log that shows information about the botnet.
To my huge surprise i noticed that many rules have been violated.
1) 2 Bots using 1 username.
2) The owner of the channel is PEUGEOT, but PEUGEOT is a bot.

Have been checking that certain channel out for a while cause i got suspicious about how and what.
Now i have a proper log that i have sent. Hope it helps a bit. For now i'll wait and see how it turns out.
As soon as i hear something i'll edit my posts

The ideea is as it folows:
1) 2 Bots using 1 username.
You can login twice on your username from the same ip/identd
2) The owner of the channel is PEUGEOT, but PEUGEOT is a bot.
Maybe the username is logged on a bot, a username cannot be a bot so this could be an abuse if the username is registered as multiple but you can`t report any usernames as there is a special team formed for this kind of situations. Good luck again!

I know that people can login twice on their username.
But i thought it was meant strictly for 'ghost' only and not 2 bots on 1 username.
Perhaps i missed a few lessons here and there.
And alright, i'll just wait what they gotta say.

Lets daylight into something..

First of all, Usernames for people, NOT for something else like eggdrops. I'think this rule JUST has been relaxed on to the some special and official HELP channels ONLY. As those channels has been created ONLY for service to the network guests.

According the logining twicely, Maybe, This person made his eggdrop logged into same username of his own, For a purpose to maintain the channel, Not for something else against registration nor undernet ''ACCEPTABLE USE POLÄ°CY''.
If he were registered more than one username and made his eggdrop logged in, that may sounds 10x more reportable than expected your claim.

If you believe and may proove that manager's username just being used only by two BOTS, and the actual manager using another username, then you may report him to cservice-abuse@undernet.org showing the abuse with your timestamped-logs shown as an abuse situation, verify them with X's replies including to the commands /msg x verify nickname_here , /msg x access #channel username_here copy/pasting into mail, do not use any attachment or file , necessary things will be done if your claims are right.

I'm not sure, If this rule has been relaxed on everyone, If non-network persons are allowed to register/use more than one username to make their eggdrops logged in, for a purpose to protect the channels or something like that stuff.

Topic should be moved to ''Cservice'' , And let's wait for xplora's instruction about this case.

Um, no. This topic (Chanfix) is not a Cservice topic. As xplora stated in the CService section:
For Unregistered Channels, Chanfix "C", and general IRC questions, try the General/IRC Help forum.
This topic is right where it belongs. And xplora will respond to this topic here if/when he chooses to comment.

not to mention the topic being about Chanfix, talking about usernames is clearly getting off topic ;)

Well actually your allowed to log twice yes because of the ghost, but look, if someone run one bot and their normal client they actually need to hide their ip.. right ?

on one process, you could log a bnc and a eggdrop on the same ip, so you could log on twice, some people i know does this, because they want to hide their eggdrop's ip, and they don't want to run naked on the network,..

i do not support this, but i could explain you maybe why this PEOGEOT user is logged in and owner of a channel.

Have a nice day :alien:

/me knows this is still off topic ( Chanfix ) but i wanted to answer the man :)
Go to hell with your questions, my time is done here. It was fun, but this network is sooooo corrupted by morons, its not worth it.

the 2 connections 1 ip 1 username, is intended for ghost issues (you get disconnected and manage to reconnect before your ghost disconnects).
