X-Chat help?

Post by Skulduggery »

Hello,

I figure this is a pretty dumb question, but .. still, hope no one minds;
In my X-Chat client I have a set of self defined userlist buttons. They mostly relate to banning and kicking people.

An example is:

Ban 1D | msg x ban %c %s 24 400

Now if I wanted to add a user input thing here, where I enter the reason for the ban - how would I go about that? I had it before, but lost it in a loss of conf files a while back.

Any thoughts?

I'm sure if you look here: http://xchat.org/docs/xchat.html#toc8 you will find the answer.
Or you can ask for a response using: http://xchat.org/contact/
You can also take a look here: http://forum.xchat.org/
More I do not know because I do not use this client.
cut to be different

Hello,

I am also trying to enter the reason for the ban, so that both admin and user can see it. Did you ever figure out how to implement this on your site? Thanks
I am not an lawyer or a doctor, but I do have some common sense!

Yes, after a bit of tinkering I got it down.

I am using the string

getstr bye "msg x ban %c %s 24 400" "Ban with reason:"

which will then have a result reason as 'bye' but will provide me with a user input window where I can enter custom reasons.
