It is channel manager's responsibility to give access to individuals who know not to issue a mass ban like that. There is a limit for how much protection against stupidity can be implemented by CService and Undernet coders; from there, it's only a matter of judgment, common sense or experience. In a...

When users quit, their nicknames are added in a list (a queue) for whowas command. Each nickname quitting will be added to the queue, pushing the other nicknames down and making the nicknames at the end of the queue be removed from this list. whowas is not limited in time, but in the length of the l...

Sorry, you're wrong; moderators and admins are not supposed to act like cops or to wander around the forum cleaning up others' garbage. Before any message gets to the forum, it passes through a person's brain - that's where the message has to be shaped and polished using common sense, politeness and...

The "rules are meant to be broken" is the lame excuse of a person who knows he/she has done wrong but doesn't want to take the responsibilty for it. Keep up breaking the AUP if you really want proof that even the forum has a ban feature. The rules are NOT to be debated or selectively followed; eithe...

Those are hidden "hubs". The network has a tree-like structure or hierarchy, some servers are "hubs" (other lower-level servers connect to them, sometimes users are also allowed) or "leafs" (they do not have other servers connected to them).

Read: buggy. Opera 7 keeps having some nasty HTML parsing and displaying bugs as well as other kinds, it's a good idea to upgrade it whenever a new version appears.

The purpose of this thread is to display funny logs from Undernet. I'm sure most of us can find websites with funny logs; if you think they should be read, provide a link to the website, not copy&paste them. Make sure the content of the messages is not offensive or vulgar. Kiath , you seem to have a...

First of all, the log may not be authentic, it's not even timestamped and its origin is obscure. Second, it's rude to talk about someone like this; if you have a problem with a person, talk to the person, not start a flame. Third, the only person entitled to judge someone's behaviour in a channel is...

So, basically, someone has to spend some time modifying the forum script, to check if the add-on works correctly and has no exploitable bugs, and to fix this every time phpBB releases an updated version, just to save you... a click? Is there any reasonable point for this request other than laziness?

Forum RULES (AUP) - Please, READ this before posting!

At the bottom of each page of the forum there is a link to Undernet Forum Acceptable Use Policy - the rules for participating on this forum. Everyone should take 10 minutes to carefully read the AUP, as the rules are now in effect and apply to all fo...

Can't argue against that, it's so much easier to blame someone else. ;) I'd like to live the day when admins around the world cooperate in such an efficient manner that customers (the reason the admins have a job) don't even notice there was a problem.
