That document, like many others, has not been updated in 6 years! Do you all need more volunteers to help update these seriously out-of-date pages? I am sure there are many capable people out here who can update these if only given the opportunity.

Ping is the IRC server inquiring whether the client (your IRC software) is still connected to the server. Pong is the response from your client indicating you are still there. If the server does not get a pong, you are disconnected by a ping timeout. The process is automatic.

Once you register your personal username @ undernet forums, you can use your username & password in order to post an article here. The article wont be automatically posted but it will "stand" in the submission(s) ...
