no, i dont think thats it. besides, i saw this reason many times and it was always [0]. you remember the time when was that mass-gline? it was 0 also at that time.

i think opers and network admins are been threaten by botnet owners. thats why they're afraid of banning them. with the drones they have, they could easily lockdown the entire network for weeks.

then it should be added as a site addon at least. that'll be simpler and more efficient. btw.. that channel search engine doesn't seem to work so well. when i search for channels i get either channels that don't exist or no channels at all :-?

i use kaspersky AV. even if i dont have the money to buy it, virus scanning will still be available after trial period expires, even though dB update will be disabled. :(

yeah, well i guess thats true. most of the serious operators dont have problems with takeovers but there are still cases of abusing done by older operators. in such cases, protective flags could prove useful.

X should write the channels list to a server file and refresh it periodically (ex. 30 mins). And if someone would want to /list only registered channels, the server will copy the list from that server file and should add the comment: Last time refreshed: day/month/year - hh:mm I dont think this is a...

why check for X on all channels when X has all registered channel stored in its dbase? all the servers got to do is access that list and paste it into the users dialog box.
