i agree. a little quiz on IRC/mIRC commands, user & channel modes, protections and X commands & stuff would help managers and users with access on channels should know at least some basic stuff before registering a channel.
ok. so i've read in the manual that if the channel is older than 48 hours, it is discarded if remains empty for 48hrs. now i wonder.. is this 48h period refreshed every time somebody joins the channel and then remains empty again or is it cumulative (eg: channel remained empty for 24h, somebody join...
there are a lot of bad things a guy can do if he steals your 500 user password  i was thinking of clearlist as a panic button if the manager forgets to set noadduser and some moron adds 1000 users in the middle of the night. the only thing the manager can do after, is either to remove each user...
its been more than 2 months since the server soft ircu 2.10.12 was launched. at about 20 days after its release, 5 or more servers updated. the rest of them remained at 2.10.11.07. i would like to know when can we expect the update of the rest of the network to take place. i asked in #help and #code...
adding this option was a good thing but i think it would have been better if it was available for channels also. i saw channels where some user decided to add a lot of access to the list. removing all those usernames would take a lot of time so that's why i think there should be a noadduser channel ...
cool! a new ircu i cant wait until all features become available. does anyone knows when this will happen? i see that mode +D and silence exemtions are already available do the CIDR bans work also?
it works the same with *!*@*.* or *!*@*.*.* and *!*@*.*.*.* I think a better idea would be to set bans on hosts available only for trusted admins (450+) same as it`s with /kick (50 for nicks and 200 for hosts)
X once used hostmasks instead of username, we went away from this because management of hostmasks is a nightmare compared to usernames now, there is a lot more involved with hostmasks. i disagree. giving or stealing a user password is much more simpler than giving an IP address/hostmask. it happene...
This sounds like some kind of nick register, but instead of nick you register the host, so i doubt it will be ever implemented.
they dont have to register anything. you just add the user's hostmasks to the channel database like AOP and SOP on dalnet. that's why it's a lot simpler.
many people on undernet find it difficult to create an username either because they dont have an ISP mail or its very hard to find an unblocked mail or the process of registration is too complicated for them. For example: in my chan, many newbies want to run trivia bots and they ask for ops in excha...
/list works fine, that information is ment to be private and will continue to be. well, if you choose to exclude mp3, warez, xxx, hack, cards and others like this i think it'll work quite fine  but still i think you should consider adding that feature to csc website or at least fix the channe...
