Re: Undernet Drones

I dont think the problem of drones, hacking channels or illegal channels in general will ever go away. Most of the Opers don't want to mess with drone runners for fear of attacks. CService is only applicable to channels with X... this discussion on drones has been around for the last 6 years or so a...

Channel Security Committee

I have read many posts on requests and in some cases demands that UnderNet do more in terms of code changes to add more modes to help better protect channels and users. Most medium-sized channels have eggdrops in place that help with channel security, rather than change the entire code, can undernet...

Bandwidth or Server load?

The idea isn't much helpful but the purpose is to make it more user-friendly.

Expansion of the website

Hi Everyone, I'm not sure if this idea has been mentioned before. After searching for it I didn't find it, so if it has I apologise. The idea I want to suggest is added functionality to the existing cservice website. Such as the ability to remove bans by clicking a [ remove ] button next to the ban,...

Going forward doesnt necessarily mean new ideas... IBM hello up in the past fired all its middle management then rehired them later as consultants.... Its what works best. UnderNet is under no obligations to protect its users from DDoS attacks. Any anyways there is probably 2 - 3 % of undernet users...

Go back to your roots!!!

When the new username idea came out and masked it everyone loved it! Even I thought it was great but now I realise it made life hell for most people. The so called "Script Kiddie Hackers" didnt ddos the user directly nope, they ddosed the servers... Perhaps a switch back to the old style might make ...

Well what I meant by two channels was... Lemme give an example In a big organisation... you have a department that handles corporate accounts i.e. large accounts. And the you have a department that handles the rest of the small businesses. So what I mean by having two channels is that you work along...

A job well done!

The first server I used when I started using IRC was DalNet. DalNet ladies and gentlemen is pretty hello in comparasion to UnderNet. So I would like to take this oppurtunity to thank UnderNet for a wonderful service. Small Channel owners or just normal chatters like myself don't encounter huge or gr...

Ahh one thing I forgot. Have an open discussion. Invite all the users to join a channel and discuss this. Failing to plan is plaining to fail!

I read the previous posts, and I have to applaud some IRCOps who work very hard and do help the users as much as possible. But like all organisations that have volunteer workers there is a lack of management. Management is what UnderNet lacks. For example, #nastrand, #arlington #zt - Three IRCOp cha...

Woah Didnt know I started all this

I have been quite busy with other things other then IRC. I do log on pretty much every day but for only a brief period. The Floods by the above mentioned people are strictly for gaining a reputation. A sort of "cool" image. They are not religious, they dont care about religion. As for them being hac...

Possible Solution

Currently the registration process is quite simple. A few questions and voila. Maybe there should be a more intensive form, with more questions. No matter what guidelines CService enforces someone will always find a way around it. The point is if more questions are asked regarding a registration of ...

Im a Pakistani, and I live in Switzerland and I make a trip to Pakistan a few times a year. People hate me because I dont get taunted or...
