Re: Linking Servers together
Sorry but to get a better response than "try another port" you will need to show the connection settings from the configuration file(s) for both servers (masking anything sensitive of course), so that we can verify that the configuration is correct.

Re: [Connection HELP]
Not looks like, is... You will find most irc servers (as in not just undernet) will block common OS service usernames like root, postmaster, superuser, mail, www, etc

Interesting... seems to me to be another black mark against TOR.

Re: Annyoing "security" policy
Asher, 1, because the people that could do anything about it won't because they have long since decided to block Tor, and do not support it in anyway. 2. because those same people do not read this forum. As for all the other issues raised in this thread, I have already said my piece, and I support U...

Re: Masskick command for admins only or from a certain level
Sorry ventap1011, your post is not relevant, undernet does not have nickserv or chanserv. Not to mention, you are responding to a 5 year old thread.

Re: Is Undernet dead?
Sorry, the post you are referring to was not directed at you specifically, and I'm sorry if it was read that was, it was more of a general rant, and I should have emphasised that somehow.Wondering wrote:Excuse me, but I did think about what I said.

Re: X Commands Update
Our intention was for the forum post to replace the /docs/ version, such that /docs/ will direct people to the forum version. However as far as the website goes, the emphasis is on getting it online and hopefully keeping it online.

Re: Is Undernet dead?
<rant> First for CService's site status see #CService, or at least it's topic (/topic #cservice) which can be viewed without having to be on the channel. As for why it's been down so long, please only comment further with possible solutions when the problem of how much it costs to handle multi-Gig D...

Re: Is Undernet dead?
I've read this forum a little because I'm looking for a place to start a channel and I wonder why none of the admins care about Undernet. For example, nick registration seems down since November. It can't take 9 months to fix that. It should be trivial to write a page with captchas where users can ...

It should be noted, that an invite and a +v after join will work around +r (without the +v, it will be like the channel is moderated).

Re: autoset /mode $me +x
hi xplora, have you missed me? My personal opinion it would be better to set as flag mode +x on your username; such as invisible, noadduser and so forth, other than being automatically set once logged in. I know, it's possible and can be done. Actually the plan as I understand it is to use t...

Spidel, he said "other computer"...
And realistically, I'd recommend getting a specialist to sort it out.

Re: As far as cservice/live goes
thats not going to stop a DoS attack... it's about volume of traffic, try thinking about the amount of traffic travelling down a motorway (yes I mean cars) during rush hour, make rush hour last every second of the day, and turn the motorway into a single lane street. Also apply the fact that it's a ...
