Hmm, there's quite a bit of dust on this section and that's not good.

I think that the classes on #class channel are awsome, because there is no place else where you can learn from the best, i think everybody should learn from there, that`s my opinion.

I received this notice this evening: Quote: [21:08] -Class-NOTICE- The Undernet user-com Class Project Cordially invites you to a class in Nettiquette (Ettiquette for IRC), to join us please type /Join #Class now! This message is provided to you as a courtesy. Please do not reply Please, members of #Class and the ircops who post the notice, check your spelling. Netiquette and Etiquette are the correct words. A part of netiquette and etiquette is spelling words properly. Show your netiquette and check your dictionary if needed, please. I have seen these same spelling errors repeatedly by #Class representatives. I say this because I wrote the script you run in #Class on Netiquette. Thank you very much. Eenie

and again, today I receive this: Quote: [13:28] -Announcement- The Undernet user-com cordially invites you to a Class in Nettiquette (Polite behavior on IRC/ How to get what you want.) for IRC and the Undernet, to join simply type /Join #Class - Now! Please do not reply to this notice, which is sent to you as a courtesy. Does anyone from user-com read this forum? I see that this section's moderators have not visited since Jan. and Feb. but surely someone from user-com reads this forum? Eenie

Eenie,
Thanks so much!!! I never realized I was spelling it incorrectly. I didn't know you wrote the class. I'm so grateful for your input. Be sure to message me any time.

heh ... ya win some, ya lose some, evidently. Now "Netiquette" is spelled correctly, but "Politeness" is not! Quote: [12:52] -Announcer- The Undernet User-com Class Project invites you to attend classes in Netiquette (Politness, or How to get what you need on IRC) AND Chanfix (System for reops) To join please type /Join #Class - Now! Please do not reply to this notice, which is sent to you as a courtesy. Pick your favorite COLOR Tutor for this Special Class And, it's "How to get the help you need on IRC." The script was written to teach new people how to behave in a* help channel. Anyway, thanks for spelling "Netiquette" correctly. Eenie *edited for typo

Always keeping an eye on forum. Just not feeling the urge to post every 2-3 minutes only to show people we are around.

TopCat wrote: Always keeping an eye on forum. Just not feeling the urge to post every 2-3 minutes only to show people we are around. Maybe "keeping an eye on forum" and actually reading it are two different things. Just today I got this: Quote: [12:55] -nocturnal- The Undernet User-Committee Class Project invites YOU to TWO Wonderful Undernet Classes combined: Netiquette (How to SUCESSFULLY get what you need on IRC.) and Chanfix (the service that re-ops Un-Registered channels) WITH LIVE Discussion /Instruction to follow! (Prepare your questions!) To join please type /Join #Class Please do not reply to this notice, which is sent to you as a courtesy. "How to SUCESSFULLY get what you need on IRC." ??? As I stated above, "And, it's "How to get the help you need on IRC." The script was written to teach new people how to behave in a* help channel." And in a somewhat related note, No one has replied or changed the AUP to reflect the change mentioned in viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9531However, I do applaud the efforts that the committee is making to hold #Class on a regular basis. Good work. Eenie *edited for typo
