And if X exists for channels why not a W for nicknames u dont think will stop the ddos ? Think twice.

actually nickname protection would probably make DoS attacks worse, also undernet does not want nickname protection

every nickname server also works like undernets username in that they expire, the DoS's would just keeps DoS'ing until the registered nickname expired.

Besides this was Channel Service Help, I ahve moved the topic to a place more for suggestions

Hi capsunel,

I see you are new on the forum as well, so I suggest you to use the Search function of the forum before you open a new thread next time. This was over discussed, and no, undernet will not have nickname registration. Users on Undernet are recognized by their usernames, if you don't like the way it works then I suggest you to move to a network that has nickname registration. Undernet won't have it, just face that.
