Hi,
What would you like to see on the undernet FTP server?
So far we have an (Outdated) selection of IRC clients for many many different OS's.
What (Legal) stuff do you think we should have on it? scritps , clients , software.
Dont bother saying warez , movies and mp3's
Look forward to your suggestions.

Security stuff and anti-virus programs will be useful.
(spyware, worm cleaners etc.)

I'm afraid that people who weren't able to find the CService documents on the website will have even greater difficulty to use a FTP client and navigate through it. And the people who do know how to use FTP already have the neurons for finding them on the website directly
As for software downloads, there are usually three places to get programs from:
- the software author's website, to get the latest version and to download from a trusted source (not from a third party, which may have alterred the program or infect it with a virus);
- a mirror closest to you in terms of Internet access, to have the fastest possible download - for example, from your Internet provider's FTP server;
- a website for software downloads, where software is organized by category, has reviews and user ratings so you can make a choice from several similar programs; such sites are TuCows.com, Download.com, SnapFiles.com and others.
Putting the programs on Undernet's FTP doesn't address either of these reasons: programs will not be always up-to-date, the download will not be any faster, and there are no reviews or categories with multiple choices.
Therefore, I ask: what's the point in running a FTP server? Wouldn't it be a LOT better to simply create a Download section on the website, with software categories listing program titles and links to their authors' websites or to the download.com download page or tucows.com worldwide mirrors?

I recall having seen Undernet documents (including Cservice channel registration guidelines and aup) in the ftp years ago. I find helpful having a copy of them in the ftp.

I would like to find there a large collection of source codes. Bots, bouncers, clients and everything related to IRC.
